Club Winter Run
The morning after the Club Dinner!. It was one of the best biking days weather wise that we have had in a long time, albiet a bit chilly. Only 3 riders turned up! Simon , Rob & Mark B. Apparently we missed Guy by a whisker....he was running a few minutes late.
We headed from Winnards Perch towards St Austell, spotting 3 St Austell Wheelers enroute too. From Bugle we headed out towards Fowey, the place we had decided to have our midway cuppa. We ended in some unfamilar lanes,going through Luxulyan and Lanivery.Beautiful lanes and countryside and a stonker of a hill which just kept on going.
A welcomed coffee and muffin in a cool surfie cafe in Fowey and then back out into the cold. The usual cafe legs. A steep climb out of Fowey didn't help! We took the most direct route back towards Newquay, going through St Austell, St Stephen and up Ladock valley. A great 50 mile route to work off a few of the beers from the night before.
